WHO IS PAROV STELAR?
Do you know that feeling? You are watching a commercial on TV and suddenly you can’t get enough of it. You are just waiting for this particular commercial to come back on the screen. But not so much because of the commercial but rather for its SONG!
That is what’s happening to me right now when I hear or see the Transitions Lenses Commercial. And, depending on the channel you are watching, you can actually see it quite often these days!
What drew me in to the commercial was the spirit of the song, which is by the way masterfully paired with beautiful images. (Thumbs up for the Transitions’ marketing department here.)
My family doesn’t much watch TV usually, but sometimes in the evenings the TV just seems to be on almost to provide some ‘white background noise’. On one of these days, this particular song lured me out, made me stop whatever I was doing, and beckoned to just listen…
The Sun by Parov Stelar. I was hooked!
The music is playful, bursting with happiness, and irresistible rhythms are begging you to get up and dance.
But who is Parov Stelar? I hadn’t heard of him, yet. I had to find out who is behind this mysterious name. And, wouldn’t you know it! Parov Stelar is… Austrian!
Parov Stelar, an Austrian musician, composer, producer and DJ. is actually quite a celebrity, who the BBC named “one of the most promising producers active in Europe today” after the release of his album Shine.
Born as Marcus Füreder in Linz, Parov Stelar (aka Plasma, Cash Candy, Nola Grey) “was among the first who produced electronic swing music in Europe. His musical style is based on a combination of jazz, house, electro and pop.”
If you can’t believe that I hadn’t heard of Parov Stelar yet, forgive me! I guess I am a bit out of the loop in regards to what’s happening in the electronic music scene. But to my defense, I am trying to catch up and I am now binge listening to his music. His various styles are just addicting!
In May 2018 the song “The Sun” featuring Graham Candy reached the No. 1 chart position in the US iTunes Electronic Charts. (Wikipedia)

OMG! Thank you! Transitions is the current commercial spot on Popcornflix. It is has been driving me bonkers trying to find out who and what or if it even was an actual song. Almost gave up on it as just for the commercial spot. Looks like I can cancel my therapy session. Thanks again.
So glad we could help! We were also hooked on the song. Glad that you found our information helpful 😉 Thanks for leaving us a note!
