Bayerischer Rundfunk’s TV-show “Gernstl Unterwegs” hopes to meet California Bavarians
Are you from Bavaria? Or do you know of someone who is?
The German TV show called Gernstl Unterwegs (“Gernstl on the road”) is looking for people who were born and raised in Bavaria and are now living in California.
The show is running since 30 years on the Bayerische Rundfunk and is considered a cult classic. It portrays the everyday life of German people, their dreams, hopes and worries. In October the team is traveling to California and is looking to meet compelling expat Bavarians.
What do we mean by compelling?
Wether you are an artist, craftsman, farmer, collector, inventor or something else doesn’t matter as long as you are passionate about something in life. Maybe you have found your “key to happiness” here in California? Maybe you haven’t? We’d like to know about your life far away from home. What part of you still feels German, what part doesn’t? Where is home?
If you are willing to share your story and show us a glimpse of your life then it would be wonderful to hear from you.
