“Finding Our Families, Finding Ourselves” immigrant Experiences of the past
.For a project that aims to teach 4th-5th grade students about the immigration process in the past to the present the Museum of Tolerance in L.A. is looking for stories of children of German ancestry who have come to the United States between 1870 and 1920.
To celebrate California’s diversity these real stories of children who immigrated to any location in California during that time shall bring the history of immigration to California to life.
Should you have a relative who fits this profile or know of a family who might have this ancestry background, please contact Donnie Granville. He is researching stories for the Museum of Tolerance and can also answer any questions you might have about this project.
