Special Olympics World Games in L.A. in July 2015 need German Speaking Volunteers

Special Olympics in Los Angeles – July 25-August 2, 2015

Arriving from all corners of the world, 7,000 athletes representing 177 countries will take the global stage in Los Angeles this summer. The Special Olympics World Games are on from July 25 – August 2, 2015 .

Together with the athletes there will be 3,000 coaches arriving in Los Angeles and about 500,000 spectators from all over the world are expected to attend.     It will take 30,000 caring and committed volunteers to make sure that the Special Olympics athletes get the experience of a lifetime. The event will therefor be buzzing with foreign languages and volunteers, who are fluent in any other language than English are in high demand!

German Speaking Volunteer Delegation Liaison Needed:

The event organizers are looking for Volunteer Delegation Liaisons, who speak fluent German and are available between July 20th and August 4th, 2015. 

A Delegation Liaison (DL) is a critical position that requires you to be at least 20 years of age and have strong language skills (English plus German). The DL will need to be available around the clock from July 20-August 4, 2015.

As a Delegation Liaison you will to make a significant impact in the lives of the Special Olympics athletes coming to the Games. You will also be participating in the organization of a once-in-a-lifetime event, which makes for a great resume item!
